An NLRB judge’s orders can be appealed to members of the Labor Council in Washington, D.C., and from there to federal court. The agency’s general counsel has issued dozens of pending complaints across the country accusing Starbucks of violating workers’ rights. The Starbucks Workers United Union has filed suits with the Labor Council accusing the company of firing more than 80 employees for their activism.

It won the election in more than 240 of the US chain’s nearly 9,000 corporate-owned stores over the past year, after an initial historic victory in Buffalo, New York, last December.
