OPEC oil cuts bad for global economy, Yellen says -FT By US Reuters

(Reuters) – US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said on Sunday that the OPEC+ group’s decision to cut oil production was “unhelpful and unwise” for the global economy, especially emerging markets.

“We are very concerned about developing countries and the problems they face,” Yellen told the newspaper in an interview.

It also criticized the allies for being slow in sending financial aid to Ukraine.

“The pace of money transfers to Ukraine is very slow,” Yellen added, noting that some countries that pledged aid were not close to disbursing it.
